Tom Wright

I run Peak15 AI, a Cambridge-based consultancy helping SMEs and nonprofits use AI without falling for the hype or the fear. My clients have included WWF-UK, parkrun, CBM UK, Leeds Credit Union, and a mix of professional services firms and manufacturers, alongside charities and third-sector organisations.

What ties my work together is the human side of AI. The technology is rarely the constraint; adoption, trust and confidence usually are. Recent areas of focus have been AI opportunity assessments and training, from a single afternoon session through to multi-week rollouts; AI ethics workshops that help teams work through real concerns rather than talk past them; and AI governance policy for organisations that need something workable rather than another unread document. I also run Ridgeline, an eight-week peer cohort programme for solopreneurs and small teams learning to use AI properly.

Before Peak15, I spent 15 years in engineering leadership, most recently as Senior Director of Engineering at EnergySage, a Schneider Electric company, leading international teams and a multi-million-dollar transformation. I hold a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, which turns out to be more useful for thinking about how people actually adopt new tools than you'd expect.

I build things as well as advise on them: Prompt Coach, a free prompt-scoring tool, and BidAIm, an AI platform for construction bid teams, co-founded with Michael Quinn. I'm also a board adviser to Happity and a trustee for Wrights Clock Land CIO.
