Menelek Makonnen

I build business systems and creative software that help people turn ideas into useful tools and keep control of their work. Based in London, I’m the founder of ICUNI Global, working across software development, workflow automation and practical Human-First AI education.

My business systems connect everyday operations: quotations, invoices, stock, approvals, customer updates and reporting. Examples include PrintShop and Maame Warehouse, with public demonstrations using sample data.

My independent tools bring that same practical approach to building and creating. Orbit is a builder’s companion for prompts, IDE conversations, projects and development sessions, with AI optional. The MMMedia family connects editable video workflows, media organisation and rendering. Ordinator is a local creative-production studio in development, bringing together versioned story canon, co-writing candidates, continuity checks and human-approved production requests.

Across these projects, I focus on clear permissions, traceable decisions, editable outputs and recovery when something goes wrong. I use AI to support development while keeping human judgement and ownership central.

I also teach and write about Human-First AI, including my Agile Accra talk, “AI, a Human-First Approach: Build More, Depend Less.” I’m studying an Executive MBA with AI, connecting hands-on building with how organisations adopt and manage technology.

I welcome conversations about business systems, workflow automation, practical AI training, creative tools and speaking or collaboration opportunities.
