Specialist in executive communication, spoken English and AI speech recognition.
York, North Yorkshire, United KingdomHybrid
Get in touchI'm an executive English and voice coach, founder of Vox London, author of "Global English, Clearly", and a specialist in spoken communication. My signature area of expertise is AI-mediated communication - how accents and linguistic differences affect what machines hear, interpret and report, and the risks this creates for organisations.
My work brings together human speech, technology and the future of communication. I'm particularly interested in automatic speech recognition (ASR), multilingual communication and the growing reliance on AI-generated transcripts, summaries and decisions. I look at what happens when a machine recognises someone's words but fails to preserve their intended meaning, and why this matters for businesses operating internationally.
My background spans education (I am a qualified teacher), corporate learning and development, communications (my early career was in advertising), and voice training. I bring this practical experience to talks, workshops and discussions about responsible AI, communication risk and the relationship between human language and emerging technology. I am available for speaking engagements, workshops, advisory work and specialist consultancy.
