I'm a technology leader and Java engineer with over 30 years of experience, primarily in fintech and insurtech, with a track record spanning start-up Founder, Principle Engineer and Head of engineering roles at scale-up and enterprise organisations.

I combine strategic technology leadership with hands-on technology skills, staying close to the architecture and code.

I lead a team of software engineers who are increasingly using AI tools to build software solutions. I also am developing Fintech related AI agents and a framework for incorporating the agents into business workflows.

I'm an expert in Java, Micro services architecture, cloud native platforms and software development practices, along with frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring AI, Quarkus, Vertx, Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Camel, JPA, and Hibernate, services such as Kafka, Pulsar, Redis, MySQL, RabbitMQ and tools such as Git, Gradle, IntelliJ, Jenkins, Terraform, etc

Over the past 4 years, I've grown an engineering organisation from the ground up to 20 engineers across multiple cross-functional teams, while driving platform modernisation, strengthening security practices, and supporting the business through significant customer growth and a recent acquisition.
